Jirōbō was the 4th Seat officer of the Seventh Division and younger brother to Jidanbō Ikkanzaka. He earned the nickname "Kamaitachi"—essentially meaning the ultimate airborne weapon or wind-scythe—a title that went straight to his head.
Best known for being an arrogant blowhard, Jirōbō couldn't shut up during combat, constantly boasting about his unmatched skills as a projectile specialist. Fans often note the irony: beneath all that swagger was a coward. When facing off against Ishida, he attempted to ambush Orihime while she was defenseless, only to pivot to trying to capture or injure her when he realized the Quincy was actually a threat.
