She's a Norma—the same engineered soldier type typically thrown at dragons as expendable troops. But unlike most of her kind, she doesn't see combat. Instead, she handles the technical side of things on the island, maintaining and repairing Paramails (those powered exoskeletons the mail-riders use). She's also responsible for recovery operations: retrieving downed Paramails and tracking down the riders, whether they're coming back alive or not.
