Shimotsuki Ushimaru was the last daimyo of Ringo, one of Wano Country's regions, before losing power roughly two decades ago when Kurozumi Orochi seized control as shogun. He came from the prominent Shimotsuki Family and traced his lineage back to the legendary samurai Shimotsuki Ryuma.
