Haruaki's a self-proclaimed youkai hunter—though he's got some quirks that make him less mysterious than your typical demon slayer. He speaks in this weird, stilted way, throwing random pauses into sentences and dramatically emphasizing words that probably don't need it. He's also prone to exaggerating how he does things, which is pretty funny considering he claims youkai hunters are supposed to isolate themselves from normal society for years. Serizawa caught him surfing the internet constantly, which. kind of contradicts that whole isolation thing.
As for his actual abilities, he can sense when youkai are around and feel what they're up to, which is genuinely useful. That said, he's not particularly strong in a fight. He's competent enough at what he does, but he's no powerhouse.
