Yajima joined Genshiken as a first-year after being drawn in by Ogiue's live manga poster demonstration. Like Yoshitake, she's into yaoi, though she's way less vocal about it—she keeps her interests pretty low-key. Her stocky build and preference for men's clothing are pretty noticeable, and she tends to come across as the more understated type compared to the rest of the club.
She's actually one of Ogiue's assistants on her professional manga work, handling the tedious stuff like erasing pencil lines and cleaning up pages. But she's got a weird hang-up when it comes to Hato's cross-dressing. Even though she knows exactly why he does it and understands the whole situation, she regularly tells him to knock it off—it clearly bothers her more than she lets on.
