Gozuki leads the Empire's newly formed assassination unit, Elite Seven, where he develops and trains its members into skilled killers. Eight years before the series begins, he threw about a hundred children into Gifnora Forest—a place crawling with Danger Beasts—and took the seven strongest survivors as his students. He calls them his children, and they call him Father.
He's known for being harsh, sometimes brutal. When assembling his group, he separated Akame from her sister Kurome without hesitation, insisting that his trainees couldn't afford to depend on each other. He made it clear he wouldn't tolerate failure.
As a fighter, Gozuki was genuinely formidable. He carried the Teigu Murasame, which would eventually pass to Akame, and used it with real skill. Like other Rakshasa demons, he could manipulate his body in unsettling ways—rapidly growing his nails and hair as weapons, or twisting and bending himself to slip past attacks.
