Odama is Kodama's grandfather and a resident of Fireworks Island. He's known for sporting kabuki makeup and having a pretty gruff personality, though he genuinely mourned the death of Kodama's parents.
Initially, Odama was dead set against letting his granddaughter launch Ball 205—he was worried about the destruction it could cause. Usopp eventually convinced him otherwise, and he gave Kodama the green light to go through with it, which ended up making her dream a reality.
