Elizalina is a magician and ruler of her own country, which shares her name and recently won independence from Russia. She's the twin sister of the Maiden of Versailles, though fans often note the pair have distinctly different roles and priorities.
When World War III breaks out, Elizalina strikes a practical deal with Kamijou Touma and Lessar: she'll help them take on Fiamma of the Right, but only long enough to get them to drive Sasha Kreutzev out of her territory. She wants no part in the larger conflict between Academy City and Russia. That plan falls apart when Fiamma attacks her palace directly, overpowering Elizalina, her guards, Touma, Lessar, and even Vento of the Front before making off with Sasha anyway.
Later in the conflict, Elizalina lends her knowledge remotely, providing guidance to her sister and Princess Carissa as they navigate the dangerous manifestations of Telesma spreading across the region.
