Grimmjow's got that distinctive light blue hair and blue-green markings under his eyes that give him an intense look. His style is pretty casual—white hakama with a black sash, a tattered white jacket worn open with the sleeves rolled up, and the remnants of his hollow mask clinging to his right cheek. His hollow hole sits in his abdomen. The overall vibe screams "doesn't care what you think," and honestly, that's pretty accurate.
Personality-wise, he's impulsive, violent, and genuinely unstable. Behind that laid-back exterior is someone with an absolutely hair-trigger temper and a mean streak—he grins like a maniac in fights, much like Kenpachi. He doesn't respect authority and says whatever pops into his head, which obviously causes friction with people like Tōsen and Ulquiorra, who both find him insufferable.
Grimmjow holds a serious grudge against Ichigo after their second encounter left him wounded. He actually keeps the massive scar on his chest as a reminder of that first fight, refusing to let it go. He's made it pretty clear he wants payback.
As the sixth-ranked Espada under Aizen, Grimmjow was actually the first Espada introduced in the series. The crooked "6" tattoo on his back marks his rank. When Tōsen cut off his arm, he got demoted and replaced by Luppi—which absolutely infuriated him. After Orihime healed him, he killed Luppi to reclaim his position.
His zanpakutō, Pantera, transforms him into something more beast than man: jagged teeth, cat ears, claws, and a whip-like tail. His speed skyrockets, and he gains feline grace and power. His roar generates shockwaves, and he can fire destructive projectiles from his elbows and conjure energy claws called Desgarrón from his fingertips.
Kubo's character design clearly borrows from his earlier work in Zombie Powder—the protagonist Gamma Akutabi shares Grimmjow's bone-like jaw and missing arm, though Gamma hides his with mechanical prosthetics. Grimmjow's released form makes the connection even more obvious.
