She's a shy, bookish kid with a genuinely gentle nature. Knowledge fascinates her, and she loves reading to learn more about the world. What stands out most is how much she cares about the people around her—she's constantly worried about Touka and Kaneki's unhappiness and isn't shy about showing it.
What's wild about Hinami, though, is her raw power. Most ghouls inherit a Kagune from one parent, but she got both—her mother's Koukaku and her father's Rinkaku. With blades sprouting from her shoulder blades and waist, she's already surpassed her parents in strength and can hold her own. Her senses are equally sharp. She's got an incredible sense of smell that works even in heavy rain and can pick up on things others miss—like that something's off about Kaneki when average ghouls wouldn't notice. Her hearing's just as good, sensitive enough to catch conversations happening inside buildings.
By the time of Tokyo Ghoul:re, she's living with Touka Kirishima.
