Yoshimura runs Anteiku, a quiet cafe that serves as a safe haven for ghouls who'd otherwise struggle to survive. He's genuinely committed to helping his customers—especially the ones too weak or inexperienced to hunt on their own. When Ken Kaneki gets turned into a half-ghoul and has no idea what he's doing, Yoshimura takes him under his wing and basically becomes his lifeline while he adjusts to his new existence.
