Hody Jones is a great white shark fishman and captain of the New Fishman Pirates, though he previously served in the Neptune Army. He's obsessed with Arlong's ideology and built his entire worldview around it.
At his core, Hody is a racist, hypocritical, and brutal character who resents humans for what he believes was their role in Fisher Tiger's death—though this belief is actually based on a misunderstanding, since Tiger refused human blood after being betrayed. This perceived injustice fuels his hatred, and he attacks any humans he encounters to prove his point. Like Arlong, he's convinced fishmen are inherently superior, though he takes it further. He once fought Gyro's crew while literally cuffed to demonstrate how easily he could destroy them anyway, then deliberately spared them (injured but alive) and sent them off as messengers to spread word of the New Fishman Pirates' power.
The key difference between Hody and his idol is how they actually treat humans. Arlong, despite his contempt, left people alone as long as they paid regular tribute. He killed selectively, mainly to enforce his authority. Hody has no such restraint. He treats human captives as completely disposable—just pawns in whatever scheme he's cooking up. He'll willingly sacrifice them and threatens death to anyone who refuses to cooperate, giving them virtually no way out. His brutality is crueler and more systematic than even Arlong's ever was.
