Subaru is a 92nd Generation student at Tootsuki Culinary Academy.
At first glance, Subaru reads as intimidating—he's got that punk aesthetic going on, which doesn't help his initial impression. But he comes across as genuinely honorable and approachable, which caught people off guard when he showed nothing but respect toward Souma Yukihira despite Souma's controversial reputation around campus. That said, there's a darker side to Subaru that fans quickly pick up on: underneath the friendly exterior is someone genuinely sadistic and cruel, which makes his early politeness all the more unsettling once you know what he's actually like.
