I'izuka served as the Choshu Clan's execution examiner during the Bakumatsu period. His main job was cleanup—literally. Whenever a Choshu member killed someone (like when they took out Kenshin), I'izuka would handle the body and make sure to leave a note for the Shogunate, basically a warning or taunt depending on how you look at it. He was handy with a sword too, though nothing that made him stand out as a master swordsman. Mostly he's remembered as the guy who did the dirty work and wasn't afraid to let the other side know about it.
