Naoki's a classmate of Yusaku's who's genuinely into Dueling, though he's never been the most confident player—especially when it comes to taking things into LINK VRAINS. That said, he eventually got over his hesitation and gave it a shot. He's a pretty enthusiastic guy and openly admits he's a fan of Playmaker, which probably helps explain some of his passion for the whole scene. He tends to be friendly and eager to connect with Yusaku, though Yusaku's noticed something about him: Naoki really doesn't handle being alone well. He's the type who thrives on being around people and seems to need that social connection to feel comfortable.
