Synopsis

Link Vrains is a new virtual reality network built around Link Summoning, a fresh dueling mechanic that lets players create avatars and compete in cyberspace. But like the real world, it's got its share of problems. Five years before the story starts, a hacker group called the Knights of Hanoi attacked Link Vrains, trying to destroy an AI program called the Cyberse. Their mysterious leader, Revolver, nearly succeeded, but one of their targets—an AI named Ignis—managed to escape and hide the Cyberse somewhere in the network. Enter Yuusaku Fujiki, a high school student who stumbles across a strange AI while dueling under his avatar name, Playmaker. Along with his friend Shouichi Kusanagi, he teams up with this mysterious program. What starts as a search for answers about that old incident quickly spirals into a larger conflict, pitting Yuusaku against both the Knights of Hanoi and SOL Technologies in a battle that could reshape the world.
