Kazuya Mishima
Kazuya's childhood was defined by a single traumatic event: his father Heihachi threw him off a cliff to test whether he could survive and climb back up, comparing it to how lion cubs fend for themselves. He did survive, and the experience left him consumed by one goal—revenge against his father. Everything he's done since has been in service of that singular obsession.
On the verge of death during his climb back up the cliff, Kazuya was approached by an evil spirit. The spirit offered him a deal: power in exchange for his soul. Without hesitation, he accepted, and the spirit merged with him, fundamentally changing what he was.
About two decades later, a research organization called WWWC began investigating reports of a boy who'd fallen from a cliff years prior. When Jun Kazama, one of their researchers, finally located him, she found Kazuya—now an adult shaped entirely by hatred, demonic possession, and the burning need for vengeance.
