Ryoutsu is a police officer who acts like he's twelve. He's bone-lazy at his actual job, but that laziness disappears the moment he's scheming up ways to make money—and he's genuinely clever at it. Whatever cash he scrapes together gets blown immediately on toys, gadgets, and whatever's cheap and fun. He's got that classic street-smart "shitamachi" vibe: crew cut, beat-up sandals (uniform be damned), and rides around on a creaky old bicycle with a pretty narrow view of anything outside his neighborhood.
The contradiction is that he's also a legit super-otaku, always up on the newest trends in pop culture and tech. Most of his obsessions are kid stuff—video games, collectibles, that kind of thing—but he'll happily spend his nights pachinko gambling or betting on horse races like any burnt-out salaryman. He drinks, he gambles, he lives messy.
Somehow, despite being this undisciplined disaster, he's got superhuman strength and stamina that kick in when things actually get serious. He leans on them more than he'd probably like to admit.
He's single and genuinely doesn't seem that interested in women, though younger female acquaintances occasionally develop crushes on him. It never goes anywhere.
