Synopsis

So here's basically how Kochikame works: Ryou-san gets some bright idea to make money—usually by inventing something or jumping on whatever's trendy at the moment. Things go great for a bit. Then it all falls apart, so he has to drag Nakagawa in to help salvage it. Eventually the whole thing crashes anyway when the fad dies out or spirals completely out of control. The series runs on jokes, but a lot of the humor actually comes from how absurdly normal everything feels despite being completely ridiculous. You've got these everyday characters dealing with stuff like Nakagawa being filthy rich, Maria being inexplicably popular with everyone, and the fact that nobody ever actually does any actual police work. The show just. doesn't explain any of it. Ever. It's all treated as totally normal. Volume 105 includes: Robot Santapei
