Kingo is a stage director and Izana's long-time friend. Although Izana regarded him as "nothing more than her slave," she entrusted Kasane's future to him, requesting that he "lead her daughter out from the abyss, and into the white lights." Thus, Kingo takes on a protective role toward Kasane and frequently snaps her back on track whenever the guilt of her actions tends to overpower her.
