Saki Toudou is a captain in the Earth Federation and commands the Ginga, an experimental wave-motion ship. She's the daughter of high-ranking commander Heikuro Toudou and Chiaki Toudou. Since the Gatlantis War ended, she's been leading efforts to rebuild the Moon using the Ginga.
Born on Earth in November 2176, Saki had a normal childhood until the Great Garmillas Empire started bombing the planet in 2193. Her father's influence in the United Nations meant the Toudou family got evacuated to underground cities ahead of most people—a survival advantage that came with a heavy cost. Chiaki struggled badly with the forced relocation and took her own life on April 20, 2193.
