Occupation: Theater Director
Hobby: Watching baseball
Yuzo Kashima used to perform with the original Spring Troupe back in the day. These days he runs his own theater company, but he's become a regular fixture at Mankai, dropping by whenever he can to coach the actors and offer notes on their work.
His critiques are notoriously blunt—the kind that'll sting if you're not ready for them. He doesn't soften his words or protect feelings, which sounds harsh on paper, but the actors who take his feedback seriously tend to improve fast. Fans often note that beneath the harshness, he genuinely wants them to get better; he just believes sugarcoating does more harm than good.
Before the old troupe disbanded, Yuzo was close with Izumi's father and Misumi's grandfather Hakkaku. They drifted apart when the company fell apart, but his attachment to Mankai never really faded. That's why he volunteers his time and expertise without charging anything—nostalgia mixed with real fondness for the place and what it represents.
