Synopsis

Veludo Way is known for its street performances and talented actors. When Izumi Tachibana receives a mysterious letter, she heads to the venue where her father once ran a theater group called Mankai Company—only to find it's drowning in debt and about to shut down. She manages to negotiate with the debt collector, but he sets three impossible conditions: pull off a successful debut show within a month, rebuild all four male sub-troupes, and pay off the debt in a year. Oh, and she has to direct it all herself. Desperate and out of time, Izumi assembles the Spring Troupe from whoever she can get: Sakuya, an eager high school student; Masumi, a guy who's basically infatuated with her; Tsuzuru, who wants to be a playwright; Itaru, a guy with an actual job; and Citron, a cheerful foreign guy. None of them really know what they're doing, so it falls on Izumi to turn these complete novices into capable actors and pull off a show that'll save Mankai Company from oblivion.
