She's proven herself willing to bend orders when it counts. On the Jindai High School roof, she saved both Sousuke and Tokiwa from Amalgam assassins and helped defuse a bomb rigged to Tokiwa's body. When shrapnel tore into Tokiwa's diaphragm, she performed emergency surgery on the spot before getting her to a hospital. Later, she let Kaname turn herself over to Leonard in exchange for Sousuke's life—directly going against her mission orders to do it.
