Riddle Rosehearts runs Heartslabyul with an iron fist—he's obsessed with enforcing the Queen of Hearts' rules, no matter how bizarre they get, and his dorm mates are genuinely afraid of him. The guy's basically infamous for handing out brutal punishments to rule-breakers, which honestly tracks given his upbringing. His parents are both respected mages in the medical field, so they come from a well-known family, but that didn't mean an easy childhood. His mother was ruthless with him growing up, drilling into his head that perfection and friendship only came through absolute obedience to rules—any rules, even the unreasonable ones.
He's a second-year now, but back in the day Riddle was actually pretty sickly and fragile. He just wanted what any kid wants: to fit in, have a normal life, hang out with friends. Instead he got conditioned into this rules-obsessed version of himself.
His unique magic, "Off with Your Head!," is as dramatic as it sounds. It clamps a magical collar onto someone's neck that seals their magic away until he decides to release them. Fitting for someone so control-oriented, really.
