Synopsis

Yuu Enma is your typical Japanese high school student gearing up for a kendo tournament—until a black carriage literally crashes into him the night before. He wakes up at Night Raven College, an elite magical academy in a world called Twisted Wonderland. The problem? He's completely non-magical, and only the most talented mages get in here. Nobody knows how he ended up enrolled. Getting home isn't straightforward. While the headmaster figures out how to send him back, Yuu gets stuck doing campus maintenance work. Things get worse when the entrance ceremony goes sideways and Riddle Rosehearts, the dorm leader of Heartslabyul, basically declares him a problem. Yuu befriends a couple of Heartslabyul freshmen, Ace and Deuce, but they quickly screw up badly enough to face expulsion. To help them out, Yuu joins their mission to repair the damage they caused. Getting forgiven by Riddle—the "Crimson Tyrant"—proves way harder than expected, though, and there's definitely more going on with him than his reputation suggests.
