Anglin Bathrad
Also Known As: The Great Sage Angrin, The Dark Hero
Anglin Bathrad is remembered as one of the heroes summoned by the Goddess Vysis to fight an earlier version of The Root of All Evil. He's best known for his work as both a skilled fighter and magic researcher, and legend has it he defeated the Great Demon Emperor and made it back to his own world alive.
The real story's darker than that, though. Vysis actually sent him to the Disposal Ruins to die. Already weakened and debuffed, Anglin fell there fighting the Soul Eater—a far cry from the triumphant hero narrative that survived in history.
