A Ministry of Defense operative, he's the one who first broke the news about Korosensei to the class—explaining the government's deal and their year-long assassination mission. After that, he took on a dual role as assistant teacher and PE instructor for Class 3-E, essentially training the students in combat and tactics.
He's got serious credentials. Military circles know him as exceptionally skilled and powerful, which he made abundantly clear by casually defeating Irina's master (a retired professional hitman) and even making Korosensei visibly uneasy when they first clashed. The octopus monster doesn't scare easily, so that says something.
Personality-wise, he comes across as strict but fair—the kind of teacher who actually cares but maintains professional boundaries. The agent thing keeps him somewhat distant from the students, though that doesn't stop him from being observant. He's one of the few people who immediately recognized Nagisa's natural talent for assassination, which impressed just about everyone. He also clearly knows more about Korosensei's background than he lets on, but he's never been the type to pry or share what he knows. That's just not his style.
