Balda was part of an expedition team sent into NGL alongside Pokkle and Ponzu. After discovering the Chimera Ant threat, the group realized they needed to alert people on the outside about what they'd found. Unfortunately, they got caught by Zazan's squad before they could escape and spread the warning.
