Gonryōmaru is the Zanpakutō spirit of Chōjirō Sasakibe, appearing during the anime's Zanpakutō Rebellion and the Tōjū Campaign that followed.
He's got a pretty formal way of talking, constantly calling people -dono (basically "lord" or "master"). What's interesting about his personality is that he's genuinely frustrated with Sasakibe for being so unremarkable among the other Shinigami—he wanted his owner to stand out more. Despite this chip on his shoulder, Gonryōmaru seems to have bonded with Tenken, another Zanpakutō spirit. He calls him Tengen-dono and often speaks on his behalf, since Tenken doesn't talk much.
