Chouchou is a fiercely loyal dog who dedicated himself to guarding his master's pet shop. When danger struck, he refused to abandon his post—even when his own life was on the line. He later helped the Straw Hat Pirates escape from the townspeople who'd gotten the wrong idea about them, repaying their kindness toward him.
