Kotetsu T. Kaburagi is best known as Wild Tiger, a veteran hero and one of the series' main protagonists. He's earned the unflattering nicknames "Crusher of Justice" and "Scary Tiger" — mostly because of the massive collateral damage he leaves in his wake during fights, not exactly endearing him to the public. Despite starting out as one of Sternbild City's least popular heroes, he genuinely cares about helping people rather than chasing sponsorships or fame, which sets him apart from a lot of his peers.
His Hundred Power allows him to amplify his physical abilities tenfold, though only for short bursts. When his power's active, he's nearly unstoppable — but the destruction he causes in the process is. substantial.
Kotetsu's origin story as a hero ties back to a formative moment when he was ten. A bank robbery went down, and the legendary hero Mr. Legend stepped in to stop it. During the chaos, one of the criminals grabbed Kotetsu as a hostage — and the kid's NEXT power activated out of pure fear and adrenaline, flinging the guy across the room. Convinced his power was inherently dangerous to anyone he touched, Kotetsu was terrified. Mr. Legend set him straight, explaining that the power was meant to save people, not hurt them. That conversation stuck with him and directly inspired him to become a hero.
