Yozuru is a professional onmyouji with a sharp, distinctive look: black hair in a bob cut streaked with red, styled with a bird-shaped clip that matches the emblem on her black collared shirt. She pairs this with a khaki overshirt, dark red pants held up by suspenders, and black high-heeled sandals.
She's best known as a member of the occult research club at the same university where Deishuu Kaiki and Meme Oshino studied—and notably, she's the only one of the three who actually graduated. Her reputation in supernatural circles is substantial enough that even Shinobu Oshino, an incredibly powerful oddity herself, refuses to talk about her out of respect. Yozuru speaks in a native Kyoto dialect and has one of her quirks: she refuses to step on the ground, treating it like a sea full of sharks. She'll even use her familiar Yotsugi Ononoki as a platform if necessary, maintaining this habit religiously.
As a fighter, she's brutally effective—her fists are strong enough to punch through multiple floors at once. Unlike Kaiki, Meme, and Gaen, she works for free because exorcising oddities is genuinely what she wants to do. She calls herself "Japan's first battle onmyouji" and specializes in hunting immortal beings because nothing else challenges her. Her ideology is harsh: she believes immortal oddities shouldn't exist and eliminates them regardless of consequences. But there's a considerate side too—she recognizes humans like Koyomi as human despite their oddity connections. According to Koyomi, she reminds him of Meme. She's strategic about which immortal beings to pursue, hunting only those she judges as "alive forever" while leaving the "dead forever" alone. That's why Yotsugi works with her; technically, Yotsugi isn't alive.
