Jade is a fairy of the Ariel type with pale pink skin and wavy, voluminous green hair. She has the typical Ariel features: black eyeballs with red irises, long green eyelashes, bird-like wings and feet sprouted from her shoulders and legs (all matching her hair and lashes in color), pointed elf-like ears, and green antennae resembling feathers. Like other Ariels, she has no reproductive organs and doesn't wear clothes.
Jade is drawn to Chise Hatori, particularly because Chise is a Sleigh Beggy. She's genuinely friendly and sweet to her, though their first meeting revealed Jade's more possessive side—she wanted Chise badly enough to try dragging her into the fairy dimension, a scheme that failed and exposed her confident, strong-willed, and somewhat selfish nature. That said, Jade has proven herself caring and helpful, at least where Chise is concerned. She's assisted Chise in cleansing the souls of two people.
