Yusaku Fujiki meets him as a freshman in Den City High School's Duel Club, where he introduces himself as a member. Hosoda's basically the guy running things—at least until the Knights of Hanoi situation gets out of hand. When that whole mess goes down, he puts his foot down hard: nobody's allowed to duel them, or they'll have him to answer to. The threat's serious enough that he actually shuts down the entire club until things settle down. It's a pretty extreme move, but he seems genuinely worried about what could happen if his club members get involved.
