Huan Yi serves as Vice General under Great General Mou Gou, though he rose through the ranks as a bandit leader—the notorious Huan Yi the Beheader. The nickname tells you everything you need to know about his methods.
His reputation for brutality is well-earned. He has no mercy for surrendered soldiers and personally beheads everyone in conquered territory. His psychological warfare is equally vicious—he's known for torturing Wei soldiers and sending their eyeballs back to enemy camps in bags, a tactic designed pure shock and terror. It works.
Huan Yi carries himself with an arrogant smirk and speaks crudely, showing zero respect for anyone outside his circle. He called General Bou "an old fart" and "trash" before killing him without hesitation. Despite the darkness, he's got a twisted sense of humor—when asked why he promoted an incompetent recruit named Ogiko to command a thousand-man unit, he just laughed and said "Gyahaha cause it's funny obviously."
He rarely looks rattled, no matter how dire things get. But the cruelty runs deeper than just violence. He once toyed with Haku Kisai by offering escape from death in exchange for begging, then stabbed him repeatedly when he refused to grovel—the kind of sadism that's pure psychological torture.
The one exception to his indifference is Mou Gou. Huan Yi shows genuine loyalty to his commander and answers when summoned. This is so well-known that Chou Tou once used Mou Gou's name to get Huan Yi's attention, knowing he'd ignore anyone else entirely.
