Eye color: Reddish-brown
Hair color: Silver
Affiliation: Choshuu
Position: Yoshida's disciple and page
Suzu's loyalty to Yoshida is almost absolute—he'll go to great lengths to prove himself and earn his teacher's approval. That devotion stems partly from tragedy: the Shinsengumi killed his older brother, leaving Suzu with a burning hatred for them. Yoshida capitalized on that grief, recruiting him as a disciple and channeling his rage into a purpose: avenging his brother by striking down the Miburo.
The problem is that Suzu's read on Yoshida is fundamentally wrong. He genuinely believes his sensei is a good person underneath a deliberately harsh exterior, someone cruel only out of necessity. In reality, Yoshida enjoys killing. There's no hidden kindness waiting to emerge. Suzu just doesn't see it—or doesn't want to. His loyalty to Yoshida far outweighs any real connection to Choshuu, the faction he's supposedly affiliated with. For him, it's always been about his sensei.
