Synopsis

Tetsunosuke watched his parents get murdered by a Choushuu member as a kid, and it messed him up. But instead of just living with that trauma, he decided he wanted revenge—which meant he needed to get strong. So at 15, he showed up to the Shinsengumi asking to join. Problem is, he wasn't ready for it. He didn't have the skills, the mentality, or the cold-blooded willingness to kill anyone who got in the way of peace. The Shinsengumi demanded that kind of detachment, and Tetsunosuke just didn't have it in him yet. His brother Tatsunosuke and the friends he made in the group tried to help him get there, but they couldn't prepare him for what was actually coming—all the bloodshed and suffering that came with being part of a real historical military unit.
