Giroro serves as the Corporal of the Keroro Platoon and is best known for his serious, no-nonsense attitude—a stark contrast to the rest of the squad's goofing around. He's a skilled weapons expert and legitimately one of the platoon's most capable fighters, though his constant irritation with Keroro and the others' half-hearted invasion efforts tends to overshadow that. His short temper is pretty much entirely justified given how chaotic and unfocused everyone else is.
He's got a soft spot for Natsumi Hinata, and he's made it clear he'll fight anyone who threatens her. That said, he carries visible scars and a weapons belt as reminders of fallen comrades from his past, which adds some genuine weight to his character beneath all the comedic moments.
Speaking of comedy, Giroro's role in the series relies heavily on physical humor. He's stationed in a tent outside the Hinata house, which puts him in the perfect position to get absolutely destroyed by random objects falling from Natsumi's window—or, frequently, alien debris crashing down from space. Karara shows up this way sometimes too. His blonde afro only appears after he gets caught in an explosion or hit with Dasonu*Maso's afro beam, and it's played entirely for laughs.
