Rin Hirakoba stands out as the group's idealist when it comes to fair play. His signature shots are the Habu and Giant Habu—the first curves mid-bounce like a smash, while the second curves right off the racket but leaves his hand pretty numb, so he can only pull it out once per match. He's notable for being one of the few players willing to push back against Coach Saotome. During one match, he straight-up refused an order to attack Seigaku's coach because he thought the match itself was more interesting than playing dirty.
