Isozuki no Nezumi is a mild-mannered rat youkai who serves a master with some pretty dark tastes. He's been ordered to steal the egg of a young Tatsumi youkai—the same one Natsume brought back to his place. His master wants it for the usual sinister reasons: the meat of a young Tatsumi is apparently a delicacy, and the blood grants eternal youth. Fans note that despite his politeness, Nezumi's caught between his master's demands and the obvious moral issues with the whole situation.
