Miku Izayoi is one of the main heroines in Date A Live—a famous idol singer who's also an A-Class Spirit with the codename Diva. She showed up in the world in March and transferred to Rindōji Girls' Academy the following month, choosing the all-girls school specifically to escape her intense hatred of men. Shido had to literally crossdress just to get her to talk to him.
Her Angel, Gabriel, lets her manipulate and brainwash people, which makes her incredibly dangerous. When she first noticed Shido wasn't falling under her hypnotic control, she got interested and challenged him to a competition: if he lost, he'd have to transfer to Rindouji. The challenge centered on which school was best, culminating in a singing contest that Miku won—but Raizen High took the overall title, which sent her into a rage. That's when she summoned Gabriel and went after him.
Light blue hair and eyes are her signature look. Her Astral Dress is mostly yellow with blue and white accents, and she usually wears a yellow moon-shaped hair clip decorated with flower petals. At school, she keeps things simpler with just a basic yellow clip.
Like Kotori, Miku used to be human. Her tragic past explains a lot of her bitterness: male fans from her idol days spread false scandal rumors about her, causing her to lose her voice and pushing her so close to suicide that it haunts her still. This left her viewing men with pure hatred and women as disposable servants—she didn't care if they lived or died, and genuinely believed they should be honored to sacrifice themselves for her. She was so cold that even Shido admitted he hated her at first.
That said, she's naturally flirty and bold about it, unafraid to hit on women who catch her eye or even Shido once they get closer. After warming up to him, she's become openly affectionate toward him and the other spirits alike, and she's genuinely cool with his harem situation—in fact, she actively encourages it.
