Touma shows up in Chapter 12 as a classmate of Futaba's, and their first meeting is pretty awkward—she trips and accidentally grabs him. Not the best introduction. But he's a decent guy, so he picks up on how genuinely sorry she feels about it and gets over it pretty quick. The problem is that Touma's got this earnest, straightforward vibe that people constantly misread, which means Kou ends up jealous whenever Touma and Futaba interact. His friends have nicknamed him "Goodie-goodie" and "Hasabe" because he's genuinely straight-laced and honest. He's got a piercing in his left ear and is into wombats.
