A criminologist and one of Tenma's old classmates. Rudy's got connections in the criminal underworld that come in handy—he pulls Tenma out of a tight spot when arrest is looming, and he taps his network to dig up intel on Johan from anyone who's crossed paths with him. He also helps Nina piece together her fragmented memories, though it nearly costs him his life in the process.
Despite building up a decent understanding of Johan's methods and psychology, Rudy never quite cracks him. Johan's motivations remain genuinely baffling to him, even with everything he learns. Like Tenma, he's a former student of Dr. Reichwein.
