A Lieutenant in Unit 8 and one of the organization's Willwearers, he pilots Oscar 1. He's known for being the serious type—pretty much the opposite of his peer Takeru. He's described (or describes himself) as "the person who separates trash," which is basically his way of saying he handles the messy, unglamorous work. Takeru, by contrast, is "the person who doesn't pick up trash," so yeah, they clash. Around the time the series takes place, he's seriously considering bailing on Unit 8 entirely.
