Kyoutarou Suga is a first-year and one of Kiyosumi's newest mahjong club recruits. Since he's still pretty green at the game, he doesn't have the raw talent of his teammates and gets stuck with grunt work more often than actual practice time.
He's got a crush on Nodoka, drawn mainly to her looks, but she's not interested. Yuuki constantly pranks and hassles him, though he's learned to just roll with it. He's known Saki since middle school and they're close, but he's not above using that friendship to score favors—like getting her to treat him to lunch. Still, despite taking a fair amount of abuse from the group overall, he genuinely cares about his clubmates and is willing to help them out whenever they need it.
