He started out commanding a special forces unit, but these days he's basically Near's right hand—handling the practical stuff that comes up and assisting with whatever Near needs, from urgent matters to booking flights.
Near trusts Lester completely, which is rare for him. In fact, Near shares his thoughts and plans with Lester in ways he doesn't with anyone else on the team.
