Lizard Misty is a Silver Saint and pride warrior who claims he's transcended pain entirely—boasting that he's killed every opponent without ever spilling a drop of his own blood. He's also spectacularly narcissistic, convinced his beauty ranks second only to the goddess Athena herself.
The Sanctuary dispatched Misty to Japan alongside four other Silver Saints with orders to eliminate the Bronze Saints. He ended up facing Pegasus Seiya, and was so certain of his superiority that he expected to win without taking a single hit. For Misty, being injured would be the ultimate humiliation—an affront to his beauty. Using a defensive barrier technique, he successfully blocked every strike from Seiya's Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken. When some of Seiya's blood splattered onto his Cloth, Misty was so disgusted that he walked into the sea to wash himself off, assuming the fight was over.
Seiya, however, didn't stay down. When they resumed, Misty continued shutting down the Pegasus Ryu Sei Ken with ease—until Seiya changed tactics. He channeled the power of multiple Ryusei Ken attacks into one concentrated blow and unleashed a new technique: the Pegasus Suisei Ken. It pierced straight through Misty's defense and struck him, finally breaking his winning streak. Seiya finished him off with the Pegasus Rolling Crush, and Misty's battle came to an end.
