She first showed up in episode 7 during the Spider's Threads arc. Aya exists because of Akio Tademaru's experiments—he was trying to create the golden thread, and she was essentially born with healing thread powers as a result. When she first arrived in Tokyo, her immediate priority was hitting up a thrift shop.
