He was sent to Arlong Park with orders to evacuate survivors from the fishman's occupation—a straightforward rescue mission that should've been routine. But when Pudding Pudding actually laid eyes on Arlong's base, his confidence got the better of him. Instead of playing it smart, he decided to go on the offensive and ordered a direct attack.
It was a fatal miscalculation. Arlong didn't take kindly to the provocation, and his crew dealt with the Commodore and his forces decisively. They destroyed his entire ship, dragging it down into an artificial maelstrom—Arlong made sure Pudding Pudding never made it back to report.
